Good anime is extremely hard to come by these days. I like anime series that are around 22-26 episodes and have 3 things: character development, story progression, and quality of animation.

I hate extended series and the typical all stars that everyone watches just because they were good at one point or the other. Naruto is one such show. I love Gaara, I love Rock Lee, and the episode where they both fight is, by far, one of the best ever. But the series as a whole... ehhhh.

I loved the first two seasons of Bleach-- amazing animation and story depth. Season 3 is horrid.

I hate Cowboy Bebop. I can't stand that show. Well drawn and well presented, I don't know why I can't stand it.

I hate obnoxious girl characters. This is why I couldn't stand Evangileon after the red head showed up and why I don't like Full Metal Panic.

Full Metal Alchemist was a great series up until around the end. The ending ruined it for me. I hate this series not because it's bad-- it's a great series-- rather I hate it on principle. How are you going to make someone watch hours of a show and then give them a garbage ending like that?

Ghost In The Shell: extremely well done.
Bleach (season 2): if you haven't seen it... you REALLY should.
Noir: this series, though I have seen it in a long time, is awesome.
Samurai Champloo: contains one of the best fight sequences ever.
